Definition
Harper's Bazaar is a leading global fashion magazine that started in 1867. The Thailand edition launched in 2005 under the management of Media Expertise International Thailand. SUFFIX designed the new website that serves three audiences at once, readers, writers, and advertisers.
Objective
Design and create a new website for Harper's Bazaar Thailand to accommodate a growing readership, as well as to incorporate advertising and introduce new features to the website.
Outcome
SUFFIX designed the new website around three user groups, readers who want content and a clean, readable layout, writers who need a content management system (CMS) that makes uploading easy, and advertisers who need effective ad placements that do not disrupt the reading experience.

Process
How did SUFFIX design the website for Harper's Bazaar Thailand?
Harper's Bazaar is a fashion magazine with a long history dating back to 1867. The Thailand edition launched in 2005 under Media Expertise International Thailand. As the online readership kept growing, the previous website could no longer handle the traffic, the variety of content, and the advertising space effectively. SUFFIX started by analyzing every audience visiting the website and grouping them into three main types, readers, writers, and advertisers, then designed a new website that serves all three groups in balance. The website is no longer just a channel for reading content. It is a platform that works for everyone involved.
A clean reading experience and a CMS for the writers
For readers, SUFFIX designed the content and layout to be clean and easy to read. A fashion magazine carries long articles, large photographs, and varied content types, so the layout had to let readers reach the content they want quickly without feeling cluttered. For writers and the editorial team, SUFFIX designed a content management system (CMS) built specifically for online magazine work. Writers can upload text and images smoothly, arrange content the way they want it, and publish without going through complicated steps. The editorial team works fluidly and can publish content in time with the news cycle.
Ad placements that work without disrupting the reader
Advertising is a key revenue source for an online magazine, but poorly placed ads damage the reading experience and push readers off the site. SUFFIX designed the ad placements on the Harper's Bazaar Thailand website so advertisers can show their ads effectively, with clear visibility, but without disrupting the reader. Position and size were designed to follow the content layout, not inserted at points that interrupt the reading flow. The approach gives readers a good experience and gives advertisers quality space, the kind of balance that lets a magazine website run sustainably across both content and revenue.
